Found an ideal computer repair professional to fix my Toshiba laptop. Highly recommended as they are skillful to save all my previous info in my laptop. Satisfied with the charges and services. Sent my laptop on Sunday noon and get it back on Tuesday.
My Macbook Pro sustained extensive water damage recently -- it was exposed to a jug of water for many hours. After being told by A*Star that its chances of recovery were near-zero (and that they would charge me even if they couldn't fix it), I was ready to give up.
I spotted TRIT in a Google search and found its customer reviews consistent and heartfelt, so I called them first to assess my chances. Denis at the AMK branch was calm, attentive and detailed over the phone. He gave a general quote, managed my expectations fairly but also said that if they tried and couldn't fix it, I wouldn't be charged, which was so refreshing.
And tried they did -- for 4 weeks. I went away but was updated by them by SMS. My logic-board had become a mess from the liquid damage and Aaron, their Apple-licensed technician, was having problems stabilizing it. Luckily I didn't need to use it urgently, and kept agreeing for them to keep trying, which they did without hesitation.
Long story short, I now have a working laptop, the repair for which cost around 20% of what A*Star quoted me (because among other things, A*Star does not repair logic-boards, they only replace them with new ones). The repair at TRIT also comes with a 90-day warranty.
Not only that, I now truly understand why TRIT's customers write such appreciative reviews of them -- not only were they proficient and patient, they were also compassionate about how we feel when our precious laptops fail. I extended my sincere thanks to Denis and Aaron at the AMK shop and made a promise to myself that I would write them a proper review, to pay forward their kindness. Thank you very much guys! :-)
My 13" Late 2012 Retina MBP needed a keyboard repair. The Knightsbridge Apple Store wanted to charge ~$470 (for the top case) plus about ~$50 (for workmanship). TRIT charged $150 (for the part) and $30 (for workmanship).
They told me it'd be a week since the part was out of stock. But they called a mere day later to say they had completed the repair. It's been a week and the keyboard works well, and looks good. There's a 90-day warranty as well, which is a nice touch. They also gave back the old spoilt keyboard.
Really impressed. They're also very honest (see my review on their Hougang branch).
My Macbook Pro Retina was not able to detect its SD card reader. Called up TRIT and they said the replacement part was currently not in stock, however suggested I came down for them to check. Aaron opened up the computer on the spot and noticed that one for the connectors had come off. Replugged and now working well. Great quick service with polite service staff.
My 6-year old iMac finally conked out on me. I brought it to TRIT computer at Block 631: the diagnosis was quick, a new hard drive installed, data from the old hard drive retrieved, and the iMac collected after only 32 hours on a Sunday! Friendly and fast service, plus reasonable service costs. Highly recommended.
